Altered Journal

I have been MIA for a bit. Life got a hold of me! I have been trying to keep up with my crafting as a way to occupy my mind.
I made this really sweet journal, originally, to keep track of my day to day happenings as I am going Project Life.
Well, the journal turned out like I wanted BUT, the front is too bulky to lay flat while I write. It has to be easy for me or I will not journal!
I used a 7 Gypsies Victoria book cover set that I purchase on clearance for $1.99. I crackled them with a layer of clear Elmers school glue and white acrylic paint. I then used some papers from MME Be Happy. I LOVE that line! I must have everything from it.
Next I took a page from my 6x6 MME Lime Twist, Go Fly A Kite pad. I white washed it to tone down the colors then I used it to back a wooden window that I purchased from Hobby Lobby in their doll house section. It came "naked". I crackled and aged it as well.
The binding isn't the best as I don't own a Cinch or any other binding system. I just hand punched the holes using my handy dandy Cropodile. Then I hand closed the wires . I think it turned out Ok. What do you think?
