After Ooohing and Aaahing at other crafter's beautiful altered projects, I decided to give it a go!
I used Tim Holtz Distress crackle paints in Broken China and Brushed Pewter for the Thicker letters and the hearts and bird. I also used the Distress Inks to age them up a bit. I used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists in Creme De Cocoa and Old Lace to age the lace. I also made a mist with water and Distress stain in weathered wood to give the lace a slight hint of blue.
The "fabric" flowers were purchase at Hobby Lobby in the trim and ribbons. I inked and misted them. The smaller flowers are made from Sculpey Clay. The flower in the center was made with Tim Holtz Glassine paper. That stuff is FUN to play with! I topped it with a Prima Pebble. The little buttons tied to the lace are actual antique glass buttons. I use this little box to store all of my little clay flowers and fabric roses I alter until I'm ready to use.
